To strengthen our motivated team, we are looking for a full time Management Accountant based at our Newmarket site. (m/f/d) Your Role This role is a key financial and business partner to the Site Managing Director and management team at Newmarket. The successful candidate will be responsible for financial oversight, performance analysis, and cost management while ensuring strong financial controls and compliance with MM Accounting Policies and Standards. Beyond financial reporting, this role is integral in driving operational efficiencies, supporting strategic initiatives, and enabling informed decision-making through data-driven insights. Your Profile Financial Control & Compliance: Ensure financial controls and compliance with MM Accounting Policies and Standards. Oversee site financial reporting, including monthly control files, trial balances, and P&L/balance sheet analysis. Maintain standard costs, providing accurate production cost and material variance reports. Conduct financial risk assessments and recommend strategies to mitigate risks. Monitor CAPEX proposals and ensure strong financial governance. Drive stock accuracy and improve working capital efficiency through cycle counts. Business Partnering & Performance Enhancement: Partner with the Site MD and operational teams to provide financial insights supporting decision-making. Optimize production efficiency, cost structures, and workflows. Drive initiatives to improve gross margin, non-productive spend, inventory management, and cash flow. Support strategic projects, ensuring financial feasibility and implementation. Work closely with management to align financial goals with operational performance. Management & Financial Accounting: Prepare and review financial reports for site management. Conduct job costing analysis and ensure accurate financial reporting. Lead financial forecasting and budgeting processes in line with MM Group objectives. Manage accruals, prepayments, and general ledger entries with proper documentation. Support audit processes and ensure compliance with financial reporting requirements.
