Barnardo's is the largest Children's Charity in the country and we know that we can only realise our ambitions and achieve better outcomes for more children, thanks to the talent, hard work and creativity of our people. That is why we recruit outstanding people who share our commitment to deliver excellent services to children and young people.
Resilience Service: The overall aim of the service is to improve the emotional wellbeing and resilience of secondary school aged young people living in St Helens by offering a range of therapeutic interventions in secondary schools, in GP surgeries and in the community. This is done through direct interventions with young people such as group work, drop-ins and individual interventions, and indirectly through their parents, and through training, resourcing and supporting health and education colleagues.
BOSS provides emotional health support and counselling for children and young people. As a service we support children and young people through a range of therapy including counselling, art and play therapy and solution focused interventions. BOSS has been delivering a service in St Helens since 2012. We support children and young people through therapeutic work. We work in collaboration with St Helens CAMHS to adopt the Thrive Model of care for all children in the borough. All our services use a suite of evidenced based Outcome Tools to show individual progress of service users.
