JOB TITLE : Client Support Assistant
LOCATION: Exeter
SALARY :£26, - £33, dependant on experience
HOURS: Monday to Friday, 09:00am - 5:00pm

THE ROLE : As a Client Support Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that client queries and requests are handled accurately and efficiently. Working within a team you will act as a first point of contact from a variety of clients from Commercial banking to wealth management and private investors. The role is predominantly phone based, with general administration support required.
Duties include:
1. Handle incoming calls and respond to internal and external client inquiries related to account balances, statements, and transactions.
2. Obtain remitting details for processing and complete FX deal tickets as needed.
3. Process internal transfers and ensure all payment process requirements are met.
4. Address card-related queries, including activation requests, PIN reminders, and unauthorised card transactions.
5. Handle client payment requests, ensuring adherence to company procedures.
6. Provide support for Online Banking and Mobile App queries, password resets, and online payment verifications.
7. Assist with cheque queries, stop cheque requests, and standing order and direct debit inquiries.
8. Manage amendments to static data, including address changes.
9. Process other requests such as audit letters and tax certificates.
10. Maintain client records, ensuring efficient archiving and filing.
11. Handle clients' complaints and errors promptly, following the established process.
YOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
12. Experience in delivering excellent customer care, preferably in a bank / finance setting.
13. Education A Levels or equivalent
14. Ability to provide a high level of client service, ensuring the client is at the heart of everything we do.
15. Strong numeracy, literacy, and computer skills
16. Knowledge of savings, banking, or financial services is desirable.
17. Previous experience in a client-facing banking role is preferred.
18. Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
19. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
20. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
21. Strong organisational and time management skills
22. Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion
23. High level of accuracy and attention to detail
24. Willingness to learn various banking systems and tasks
25. Empathy in handling customer complaints
26. A positive and can-do attitude
