Description We have an exciting opportunity for an HR & Payroll Coordinator to join the team at The Sheraton Grand Hotel & Spa. The ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering great service to our associates in a professional manner and be able to work well under pressure. Previous HR experience and / or payroll knowledge, including the use of Fourth Hospitality would be an advantage. Sheraton Grand Hotel & Spa is one of Scotland's leading 5 star hotels. As the largest 5 star hotel, we also have the biggest banqueting and meeting facilities of any hotel in Edinburgh with a capacity of up to 500 along with our One Square Restaurant and bar and the award winning ONE SPA. This role plays an integral part in ensuring all aspects of the hotel’s payroll is processed accurately and in a timely manner alongside additional HR duties, This key team member is responsible for: • Processing the monthly and four-weekly payroll • Auto-enrollment and the processing of pension contributions to our pension provider • Holiday and payroll accrual journals • Monitoring and Control of Absence • Use of Fourth Hospitality for payroll and rota functionality • Human Resources duties as part of a busy HR team which include but are not limited to onboarding administration; associate job chats; reward and recognition programmes and the assistance with employee relations. The ideal candidate will The successful candidate will be proactive and will be an excellent communicator (verbal and written) as well as: Great Customer Service Skills - Must enjoy interaction, be able to anticipate associate needs and maintain a positive and professional attitude at all times. Build key relationships with all hotel associates to ensure expectations are met/exceeded at all times. Must be a Team Player – Demonstrate experience of building positive working relationships and promoting team spirit. Essential Computer Skills - Knowledge of Fourth is preferred, (although full training will be given), Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel is essential and the ability to manage an inbox and busy to do list.
