The Role:
The Neuropsychiatry service in Northampton has an opportunity for a Consultant Psychiatrist to develop and strengthen their experience whilst having the chance to develop research and clinical ideas. This service is forward-thinking, open to new ideas and a holistic approach is taken to patient care and treatment.
We currently have a full time position covering Tallis and Redwood. However, we would consider part time applicants who can cover one of the wards.
A 12-bed inpatient care and rehabilitation unit for adult men who have an acquired/traumatic brain injury and who experience complex behavioural, psychiatric and emotional difficulties.
Tallis: Tallis is a specialist admission and stabilisation unit for adult men with a formal psychiatric or neurological diagnosis of brain injury that may have resulted in cognitive deficits or behavioural changes.
Redwood: Redwood is a 10-bed ward and part of our specialist dementia hub, representing a significant step forward in the care and support of people with dementia who present with complex behaviours.

The Service:
Our Neuropsychiatry Division offers specialist services for patients with Dementia and Acquired Brain Injury. The care and rehabilitation offered is recognised for being at the forefront of innovative service developments.
