Our client is a successful and well-established leading manufacturer with a high-quality, diverse product portfolio, operating globally in many countries. They are looking to employ several Mobile Installation & Service Technicians to be trained as Field Service Engineers, to carry out the installation, service, and maintenance of the company's products at customer sites across Wales.
They are seeking skilled individuals who are naturally adept with a wide variety of hand and power tools (essential). Industry experience is not essential, as they will provide full training on their portfolio of products.

You have experience working in a client/customer-facing role to carry out hands-on repairs, maintenance, or installation of products at customer sites.
You are confident with a wide range of hand and power tools.
You are willing to work on a 24/7 call-out rota (not always 24/7, there is a rotating plan with other Engineers).
You can commute to the Brynmawr NP23 area (site is based here for parts, etc.).
NOTE:
All Field Service Engineers will join the on-call rota, with frequency determined by your line manager.
There may be a requirement to stay away occasionally (Very rare).
Summary of the role:
Under the supervision of your line manager, you will carry out repairs and servicing of all the company's and competitors' equipment when requested.
You will install, collect, and exchange all said equipment when requested. Movement of competitors' equipment may be required.
You will carry out product cleaning in line with the company's infection control policy and turnaround servicing of all products.
You will accurately record and keep all necessary paperwork and administration documentation in pursuit of the job objectives, ensuring it is submitted to the right place within the required timescales.
Main Activities/Responsibilities:
1. Efficiently carry out repairs and servicing on a range of company and competitor products.
2. Ensure all work carried out is of a high standard and quality.
3. Effectively plan your day to maximize repairs and services completed.
4. Travel between numerous sites will be required, including customer homes.
5. Communicate effectively and efficiently with team members, manager, and Service Customer Solutions Advisors.
6. Exceed customer expectations by providing great customer experience.
7. Liaise with clients, sales personnel, and company personnel at all levels.
8. Good manual handling skills are essential (e.g., moving equipment, working in cramped or restricted positions).
9. Driving is a major part of the role, so good driving skills and attention to detail are required.
10. Ability to manage emotional and mental stress while dealing with customers that are ill and family members under strain.
11. Ensure all company procedures are followed, including infection control, health & safety, etc.
12. Manage stock levels on your company van and ensure all stock procedures are followed.
13. Complete and return all paperwork, ensuring it is correct, legible, and submitted within expected time frames.
14. Carry out regular inspections on your company vehicle and report any issues to your line manager.
15. Look after company equipment and report any equipment issues to your line manager.
16. Be proactive in anticipating problems or needs and manage these or seek assistance from your manager when in doubt.
Required Experience:
The product portfolio includes a wide variety of hospital and care home beds, seats, stretchers, hoists, stair lifts, wheelchairs, and more related products. Experience with repairs to any of these would be advantageous (however, full training will be provided).
Experience in service administration (e.g., timesheets, overtime sheets, job sheets) and inventory control is also required.
Salary: Up to £28k+ (negotiable depending on experience) + Company Van + On-Call bonus + Overtime.
Hours of work: Monday to Friday, 8.30 am - 5.00 pm + 24/7 on-call rota.
