We have an exciting new opportunity to support our existing Team and Service Manager in the Shrewsbury area.
Your role will be to assist the Service Manager in delivering outstanding levels of care to people we support, in four supported living services. One of our services consist of four individual flats especially designed to support individuals with mental health needs, you will be providing varying levels of assistance and opportunities to learn new life skills.
The people we support attend a range of activities including swimming, local discos, day opportunities, local walks, cinema, as well as learning day to day living skill sets.
We are looking for that special person who is a team player, someone who is confident, a good communicator, flexible, a good listener, empathetic and works in a person centred approach.
Y have a level 3 qualification but are prepared to work towards this will be considered so long as they have suitable supervisory experience and professional knowledge in the sector, ideally in learning disability.
*The role will involve participating in the out of hours on call rota along with other Assistant Service Managers.
Your Attributes:
* UK Manual Driving Licence essential
* NVQ Level 3 or above Health & Social Care
* Have previous experience working in Adult social care in a leadership role
* Have experience of working with people who have Learning Disabilities and Autism
* Confident in IT and using different systems
* Have experience working with a Positive Behaviour Support Team
* Needs to be adaptable
* Able to take their turn on the on-call rota
* Available to work shifts as well as manage their own work when on admin duties.
* Experience managing medication
* Experience on team building.
