An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Lead Specialist to join our team on a Full Time, Permanent basis!
You will coordinate and support the implementation of Performance and Leadership Development solutions into the Electricity Distribution (NGED) business unit by leveraging the existing programmes and offerings available across National Grid and meeting business needs through tailored performance and development support and guidance. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and driven individual mid-career HR professional who is keen to broaden their HR and business experience.
What You'll Do
1. Implement the plan for integrating Performance and Leadership Development solutions into NGED, ensuring the programmes and solutions are sequenced effectively to embed learning based on priority areas of development.
2. Be responsible for ensuring National Grid tools and frameworks such as Manager Essentials are successfully embedded within NGED.
3. Roll out and manage any National Grid solutions and update to ensure content is aligned to NGED specific policies and systems.
4. Coordinate Talent Management approach within NGED, working alongside the HR Business Partners and other stakeholders to facilitate.
5. Coordinate the plan for the roll out of Team Effectiveness methodology including the identification of potential team effectiveness facilitators to support the NGED plan.
6. Work with subject matter experts and ensure any revised processes such as the Performance Management process are effectively implemented.
7. Develop an integrated and sequenced Communications plan for the roll out of all Performance and Leadership Development Solutions.
About You
1. Self-motivated, with excellent organisational skills and a proven ability to work as part of a team and collaborating across functional areas.
2. Proficient project management skills.
3. Experience in developing learning solutions and development programmes.
4. Learning and development experience or qualifications, this role is designed to have the specialism to provide a learning expertise within the team.
5. Knowledge and experience required are used on a regular and frequent basis in carrying out the duties of the post.
6. Confident facilitating virtual and in-person events.
7. Comfortable talking to senior stakeholders about the programme and selling its benefits to the business.
8. Self-motivated and resilient, with good organisational skills with proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
9. Proficient skills and prior experience in leveraging data analytics, reporting, and insights to guide continuous improvement, decision-making, and recommendations.
10. Experience in blended learning approaches.
11. Experience of working across different geographical locations.
12. Excellent facilitation skills.

This role is offered on a Full-Time, Permanent basis.
We are also offering hybrid working in which we envisage you will spend on average 2 days a week at any of the following National Grid office – Bristol (Avonbank).
