A specialist Swindon school is looking to expand their staff and take on a Student Support Assistant to provide specialised support and assistance to students with Complex Learning Disabilities and ASD. The Student Support Assistant will be working alongside teachers in a classroom environment, supporting small groups of 3-5 students who need additional support throughout the day. The candidate will develop an understanding of how to provide the highest quality care for the students and receive excellent training from reputable professionals working on-site including occupational and behavioural therapists and psychologists. Working as a Student Support Assistant would be an exceptionally rewarding introduction to supporting young people with Learning Disabilities or Complex Needs.

* Monday - Friday 8:30 - 3:30
The ideal graduate will have achieved a 2:1 or above in their university degree. Suitable experience would include working with SEN adults and/or children in a similar environment, youth work or clubs. The Student Support Assistant employed will be pro-active, adaptable, and ambitious as well as having the potential to commit to the full academic year. The students in this school require a Student Support Assistant who will understand their complex needs and is up to taking on challenges and dilemmas while being open-minded. Suitable experience can include working with SEN children and/or adults in any setting or on a personal/familial level. Level 3 qualifications+ are also required and a Degree would be most desirable.
