It is expected that research will build on existing strengths of other departments as well as seeking research opportunities connected to having a commercial 4-star hotel on campus, and identifying new and distinctive research questions that will frame the School’s research identity. Generating external income to support research and knowledge transfer and laying foundations for a submission to REF2028, will be important strands of the new strategy. The successful Lecturer (ASER) post will have the responsibility of making a significant contribution to the School's research strategy and its REF2028 submission.
The post holder will also support the delivery of teaching and learning activities within the department in the areas of hospitality, events and tourism management to undergraduate and postgraduate students.
