Our client is a two-site practice, with both sites having digital x-ray, modern ultrasound machines, operating facilities, in-house blood machines, microscopes, and dental equipment. They are now looking for an experienced vet to join them.
They are fortunate to employ four vets with over 10 years’ experience and two further vets. They all communicate well as a team and always help and support one another. They are lucky to be in a central location in the UK with excellent travel links all over the country, particularly London. There are 8 Registered Veterinary Nurses, 2 Receptionists, and 2 Animal Care Assistants. They are a very welcoming team and always look to make any new staff member feel as welcome as possible.
The practice is first opinion with a mixture of consulting and surgical time. Typically, with consults running until 10.30am, followed by surgeries until 1.30pm, then consulting from 2pm until 6pm, with the day finishing at 6.30pm. The consult slots are 15 minutes long. However, for vets who prefer consulting, they can offer increased consultations throughout the day.
The full-time role is 40 hours per week spread over four days with paid lunch breaks. The client is open to reduced hours and more flexible working patterns, where possible, to suit any successful candidate. There is a rota for Saturday morning shifts that equates to around 3 in 10, and there is no out of hours work or overnight inpatient care. Salary is up to £70k pa DOE.
