We are seeking a highly skilled Structured Credit Quant to support our Structured Credit Trading team. The role involves developing and enhancing pricing models for structured credit derivatives, including baskets, hybrids, and repacks that incorporate credit, rates, and FX elements. This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic front-office environment, collaborating with traders and technology teams.
Key Skills and Accountabilities:
* Extensive experience in Credit Derivatives or Front office XVA QA.
* Strong knowledge of derivative pricing methods, including curve stripping, volatility surfaces, and IR/FX derivative pricing.
* Expertise in credit products, including CDS, CDSI, and credit curve interpolation, with additional experience in bond and funding product pricing (e.g., repos, TRSs) as a plus.
* Experience in structured credit, including hybrid products, repacks, and credit baskets, with cross-asset knowledge (rates/FX) preferred.
* Competence with modern C++ (C++11 and beyond); familiarity with Python, Java, or C# is beneficial but secondary to advanced C++ skills.
* Familiarity with professional software workflows such as agile development, source control, and CI/CD processes.
* Effective communication and technical writing skills, and a passion for working as a front-office quant in a fast-paced financial environment.
Note: This is a pricing quant role, not a trading strategy design role. It does not require and has no exposure to machine learning, GenAI etc., but knowledge of Time Series analysis and dependency modelling using Copulas is a plus, in the context of derivatives pricing.
Purpose of the Role:
To provide quantitative and analytical expertise to support trading strategies, risk management, and decision-making within the investment banking domain, applying quantitative analysis, mathematical modelling, and technology to optimise trading and investment opportunities.
Accountabilities:
* Development and implementation of quantitative models and strategies to derive insight into market trends and optimize trading decisions, pricing, and risk management across various financial products and markets.
* Working closely with sales teams to identify clients' needs and develop customised solutions.
* In-depth research, data analysis, and statistical modelling to derive insights into market trends, pricing, and risk dynamics.
* Provide front office infrastructure support through ownership and maintenance of analytical libraries.
* Provision of expertise on quantitative methodologies, technological advancements, and industry best practices to drive innovation within the trading environment.
