Due to the increase of treatments and care we give to patients, our professional and established Patient Administration department is expanding and therefore have a new opportunity for an experienced and detailed Administrator to join the team on a permanent basis!

This position would suit those with a strong administration background within healthcare but also coming from perhaps case-management / legal / courts or social care remit or even, mortgage administration conveyancing / investments and finance administration!
This is a permanent part-time position (22.5 hpw)
Working Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 8.00am to 4.00pm
What you'll be doing
This Patient Administrator position would be ideal for those who have performed the same if not very similar role in the past; managing the booking and potential cancellations of client bookings and all the following ups, documentation, communication and notification that would be involved.
The main focus of this position would be to very effectively manage the booking of patient appointments, consultations, operations and treatments. You would be accountable for following the Patient Pathway and relied upon to keep track of their movements between departments.
You will be answering and documenting phone calls from patients, GP surgeries and other hospital departments on all aspects relating to booking appointments, patient admissions and patient referral letters.
Through successful training, our Patients Administrators are very knowledgeable and you being confident, will also be providing advice in all matters relating to patient appointments.
You’ll be scheduling patients for surgery, co-ordinating and aligning dates and ensuring that the patient meets the criteria required beforehand with assistance from the clinical teams.
Another important requirement of this position would be the booking of outpatient sessions, using the strict booking guidelines adhering to breach dates and ensuring optimal utilisation of clinic, theatre lists and gathering patient information where appropriate for outpatient clinics.
