Commercial Manager - Major Projects Job Description A leading infrastructure contractor is looking for a Commercial Manager to join their team in York. The main objective of the role is to lead the commercial delivery of a major £100m infrastructure project, taking full commercial responsibility and ownership of the project. Key duties will include: Delivering a portfolio of highways and heavy civil engineering works as part of a major infrastructure project being carried out in the region. Leading change management activities for the project, managing this change from inception to agreement with the client. Managing the end-to-end delivery of projects under NEC contracts, with a focus on options A & C. Leading and developing a commercial team, driving their performance and ensuring the smooth delivery of day-to-day commercial activities. Liaising closely with the Commercial Lead and wider team, whilst being responsible for the delivery of value reporting within all monthly reports. Why Apply? Candidate Requirements Our client is looking for Commercial Managers looking for a career move. They are also keen to see experienced Managing Quantity Surveyors looking for career progression. Minimum of 10 years' commercial experience supporting the delivery of infrastructure or heavy civil engineering projects. Must have NEC contract experience, and be comfortable managing these contracts end-to-end, including change management activities. Proven ability to lead commercial teams on projects and driving their performance and development. Relevant quantity surveying or commercial management degree.
