Part-time Veterinary Surgeon - Small Animal
Here at Crown Vets, we are looking for a Veterinary Surgeon to work with us on a part-time basis. Our sites consist of our main branch in Crown itself where you will get to enjoy hustle, bustle and challenge of a busy day, at our Culloden and Canalside practices you can enjoy sole charge consulting only. We have a fantastic, close-knit team who celebrate each other's successes and support one another.

This is a part-time permanent role working 28.5 hours over 3 days per week. Saturdays are on a rotation and there are no out of hours. The rota and working schedule is carefully devised to ensure scheduled lunch breaks and ability to leave work on time is maintained.

Location
Inverness is a city with good shopping, cafes, live music venues, restaurants, and bars. We have a theatre (Eden Court) which hosts musicals, plays, ballet and numerous special events such as outdoor music events during the Summer. The Highlands are certainly the place to be for those with a passion for the outdoors- the scenery is second to none and there is endless opportunity for walking, wild swimming, camping and paddle boarding! There are lots to do for families and children of all ages- Inverness is very child friendly with an array of festivals and events catered for families. There is a leisure centre and pool with waterslides, ice skating rink, many parks, and petting farms. Many of the primary and high schools in the area have very good reputations and ranking in Scotland.
We have access to further facilities and a CT scanner at our Highland Vet Referrals practice. We also receive advice and support for the specialist surgeon based at HVR.

At Crown Vets we are fortunate to have a fantastic team who strive to create a positive working environment and build strong relationships within the team. We have regular staff events, activities and days out but nothing brings us together like fundraising for our local community.
Over the years we have raised over £12,000, completed a 24-hour kennel stay, a 12 hour bike-a-thon and the world’s largest inflatable obstacle course. We have also raised funds to provide 50 pet oxygen masks to Highland fire stations, outdoor community accessible defibrillators at our 3 sites and have created our own pet food bank to distribute throughout our local area.
Our team here consists of 12 vets, 12 registered nurses including two student nurses, our clinical team are supported by veterinary care assistants, a pharmacy dispenser, a very competent front desk team and office support staff.
The large team means there is always someone nearby to offer support, discuss cases with and learn from.
