Our client, based in Essex, is currently recruiting for a Housing Property Surveyor role on a Permanent basis. Our client is proud to hold a make a practical and positive difference to the lives of people living and working in the local area.
The position is due to start immediately or on notice on a full time basis. The salary for this role ranges from £50,000 per annum dependent on experience.
Due to the nature of the role, the client is looking for someone who has good understanding of Health & Safety and Building Legislation.
Duties will include (but not limited to):
* Manage specific housing works programmes, damp inspections and diagnosis evaluations, insurance
* Monitor Contractors` responsive and planned maintenance programmes ensuring delivery, value for money, and ensure compliance with current legislation
* To work as part of the housing property inspection team ensuring that the housing stock is well maintained and that asset management processes are implemented and delivered efficiently and in line with legislation and targets set
* Develop the Housing property services technical service provision ensuring a strategic focus on customer service, and be the point of contact for tenants and leaseholders in the provision of a comprehensive property management service
* To support the team in planning budgets, identifying efficiencies in response and planned works and to ensure there is a robust method of reporting that is being adhered to
Experience required:
* Experience within Social Housing
* Sufficient knowledge to complete the investigations, diagnosis, reporting and recommendations, and then project manage the remedial work
* Monitoring all allocated repair/capital works ensuring the works are completed on time and within the agreed budget.
Skills, knowledge and expertise required:
* Support the team in planning budgets, identifying efficiencies in response and planned works and to ensure there is a robust method of reporting that is being adhered to
* Good knowledge and application of customer care and service delivery
