OVERVIEW OF JOB DESCRIPTION
This is a permanent contract. Both SIA and CCTV licences required. The Rock Shopping and Leisure Centre is an outdoor shopping centre housing over 50 retail shops and restaurants. We are looking to appoint an experienced security supervisor to maintain a safe and secure shopping environment and lead the security team. The focus of this role will be to deliver excellence through establishing and enforcing robust security policies and procedures. The customer experience should be at the heart of everything you do.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
• Support the Security Manager in operational HR responsibilities to recruit, retain and develop the security team.
• Maintain and manage staff attendance/absence records in conjunction with company policies and procedures.
• Ensure rota is accurate and up to date and manpower coverage is maintained and all team members complete the required shifts and duty hours as detailed on the duty rota.
• To set objectives for direct reports as per company procedure. Ensure the same approach and mechanisms for all staff within area of responsibility.
• To deliver excellent communications and motivation for all direct reports.
• Deliver to all new starters a formal induction and site-specific training.
• To ensure objectives, performance reviews and Toolbox Talks are completed as per company policy.
• To identify training needs and ensure accurate site records are maintained at all times.
• Support the Security Manager to ensure the necessary security audits are undertaken and any noncompliance highlighted and managed to completion.
• To manage excellent relationships with our client, our suppliers and other partners.
• To deal efficiently and effectively with all emergencies including fire, ensuring the Centre team are kept fully informed at all times.
• Lead the Security Team when dealing with incidents.
• Support and provide guidance to other site based/centre staff.
• To liaise closely with statutory authorities, dealing with incidents and the provision of information.
Person Specification:
• Ability to work as part of a team and independently
• Strong communication skills both written and verbal
• Team leading experience with the overseeing the day to day running of the security team within a similar environment.
• To ensure that all security personnel understand the scope of their individual roles with particular emphasis on delivering a professional customer service
