This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a new Independent Travel Training service. The role involves supporting young people and adults who will benefit from the programme, to be able to travel on public transport. You will be working with the trainee and their support network to plan and deliver a bespoke travel training programme. Working peripatetically across the borough, you will manage a caseload of trainees and be responsible for their progression throughout the training. Our programmes will develop the confidence and skills for trainees to tackle journeys independently. Working as part of a new team there will be some great opportunities to develop practice, resources and to shape the future of the ITT service. We are looking for skilled, proactive and flexible individuals who will really make a difference to our customers lives, particularly in relation their ability to travel independently. You will offer 1-1 support and small group training to ensure trainees are equipped with all the skills and confidence they need to use a range of transport. You should be flexible in your approach to work and be able to work early mornings and late afternoons.
