We are looking for an enthusiastic intern with a creative flair to support research, design development, and grow an emerging brand. This role is ideal for someone who is a highly motivated self-starter, eager to break into the fashion industry.
Key Responsibilities:
* Creating mood boards, colour boards, style, fabric, and colour cards, and conducting research.
* Assisting with the sewing of trials and new development samples.
* Working on colour-way options, print placements, artworks for fabric developments, and embellishments using Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
* Amending and updating sketches and fitting imagery using Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator as needed.
* Supporting look-book preparations and fittings.
* Conducting offsite errands around London.
* Performing quality control checks.
Requirements:
* Passionate about building and researching the brand's vision and identity.
* Experience with Excel/Google Sheets, PowerPoint/Google Slides, and Canva.
* Basic presentation skills with excellent spoken and written communication skills.
* High level of computer literacy in Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Microsoft Office.
* Knowledge of fashion design processes, fabric bases, and colour, with familiarity in creating design boards.
* Basic machine and hand sewing skills.
* Able to assess colour and maintain current knowledge of fashion design processes, fabric bases, proportion, and trends.
* Able to sketch and illustrate.
* Technical drawings and tech pack creation is a bonus.
* Graphic design skills are a bonus.
