Job Title: Emergency Care Assistant
Location: Southampton and Portsmouth

The Role:
We are seeking hard-working and driven Emergency Care Assistants to join our team. This position offers the opportunity to work in diverse service environments, enhancing your professional and clinical development. You will support our registered healthcare professionals in delivering high-quality, compassionate care across various situations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Respond to emergency and non-emergency calls, providing essential care.
2. Carry out first aid and minor treatments, assisting in urgent and emergency care.
3. Conduct routine patient transport services, GP admissions, and inter-facility transfers.
4. Utilize advanced driving skills for medical emergencies and ensure patient safety during transfers.
5. Complete thorough handover reports and maintain accurate patient treatment records.
6. Perform equipment checks to guarantee the operational readiness of ambulances.
Clinical Support Duties:
1. Deliver high-quality patient care within your scope of practice.
2. Maintain patient confidentiality and ensure lawful processing of personal data.
3. Assist in the assessment, monitoring, and treatment of patients.
4. Complete patient documentation with precision.
What You’ll Need to Succeed:
1. A minimum of one of the following certifications:
1. Qualsafe FREC 4 Certification
2. Level 3 Diploma in Ambulance Emergency and Urgent Care Support
2. A full UK driving license with a maximum of 3 penalty points and no disqualifications within the last 5 years.
3. An Emergency Driving Certificate.
4. Current experience in NHS frontline services and knowledge of clinical guidelines.
5. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to prioritize and act under pressure.
6. Physical fitness to undertake the demands of the role.
