We’re seeking Residential Care Workers to join our inspiring team supporting our students (aged 9-25) to develop their independent living skills, whilst supporting their education. The role will be in either our new adult residential centre, or part of our on-site residential flats at the academy. Both are based in Exmouth, and are a couple of minutes walk from the beach. Every day as a Residential Care Worker is different. You’ll be supporting our young people who live in our Academy Residential Home to develop their independent living skills, as well as organising social activities, for example, activities in the local community, trips to the beach, cinema or bowling, as well as trips further afield. Our students spend their day in our School or College, some also doing work placements or qualifications elsewhere, after which they return to our residential care flats. The shift pattern for this role is therefore outside of 'school hours'. The minimum salary for this role with no sleep-in rate applied is £23,854pa (this would apply to those only working the Mon-Fri shift pattern). The salary including sleep-ins may be up to £27,411pa (this includes payment for the maximum amount of sleep-ins possible for those working on full shift pattern), or £29,896pa for those at top of the pay scale.
