Job Description Farm Vet Opportunity – Flexible, Proactive Role on the Isle of Wight Are you a farm vet passionate about proactive livestock health and welfare, sustainable farming, and exploring new challenges? We have an exciting, unique opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic vet to support our wonderful farm clients in the stunning surroundings of the Isle of Wight. What’s on offer? Flexibility: Choose a 3 or 4-day working week, with a quiet 1 in 4 out-of-hours rota. Variety: While farm work is the core, if you’re curious about small animal work, we’ll happily support you in expanding your skills. Beautiful Location: The Isle of Wight, a UNESCO biosphere, offers coastal living with sea swimming, surfing, mountain biking, and more. Plus, you’ll have easy access to the mainland via Portsmouth and Southampton. What we’re looking for: We’re keen to hear from vets of all levels. Ideally, you’ll have some experience and a passion for driving our farm practice forward, but we also welcome applications from early career vets The Role: Work closely with farms across the island, supporting around 10,000 cattle (mostly beef) and 30,000 breeding ewes. Play a key role in helping farmers adopt more sustainable practices. We organise client meetings and events on topics like parasite management and anti-microbial stewardship, and offer fantastic CPD opportunities. Enjoy clinical freedom while having minimal routine TB testing thanks to our low-risk status and the support of an ATT in training. Why join us?
