The Role
We're hiring a part-time Support Worker to assist a gentleman in his 30s living independently in supported housing. You'll be working independently to provide one-on-one, person-centred support, transitioning from "caring for" to "working with" to promote his independence.

6. Personal Care: Supporting him with personal care needs, such as dressing andshowering
7. Medication: Assisting with medication management.
8. Shopping and Meals: Helping him shop for clothes and food, and preparing meals as needed.
9. Financial Management: Supporting him in managing his own money.
You'll also support with things that are important to him, like visiting the railway museum in York, going to theme parks, the zoo, coffee shops, and attending his favourite TV shows.
Working Hours
Be prepared to work flexibly, which could include shifts from 10am - 9pm, 10am - 2pm, or 6pm - 10pm. You'll also need to work alternate weekends and bank holidays.
