Here at Greens Team Ltd, we specialise in creating natural set dressings for film and television productions. Operating for nearly 20 years, we've been part of many award-winning productions, including 1917, Barbie and Maleficent. We're onto our next exciting project, and we need a skilled workshop manager to join the team. What does your day look like? You'll liaise with the production's Health & Safety team to ensure all necessary safety measures are in place within the workshop. Ensure the team are briefed on fire safety protocols and work closely with the production's Fire Chief to understand and uphold team responsibilities. You'll coordinate with the locations team to ensure workshops are safe and suitable for work. You'll work with the buyer to order workshop consumables as needed. You'll set up and maintain workshops, including the management of hand tools on-site. Oversee the proper storage of hazardous substances (COSHH) and ensure all team members wear the appropriate PPE. Act as the primary first aider within the team, ensuring prompt response to any incidents and maintaining first aid supplies. Your experience You'll be confident in supporting up to 100 people and ensuring their safety. You'll have experience operating machinery such as forklifts and a solid understanding of COSHH regulations. A proactive, 'can do' attitude, strong communication and organisational skills are needed for this role. You'll be joining a fast-paced, busy environment and must be comfortable in solving problems and adapting to changing plans in a professional manner. Be confident in liaising with Heads of Department (HODs) both within and outside the department. Have sound knowledge of tools and equipment, including: Power tools Machinery Strimmer’s and blowers Irrigation pumps Awareness of safety procedures related to straps, harnesses, and ratchet straps.
