Birmingham Newman University is looking to recruit multiple Visiting Lecturers in Business Management, with a passion for excellent and quality teaching in any of the following areas:
* General Business Management
* Project Management
* Strategic Marketing
* Financial Management
* People Management
* International Business Management

Short summary of Job Details
* Planning and delivery of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in Business Management.
* Creating assignment briefs, marking assignments and examinations.
* Providing timely and constructive feedback to students, conducting all assessment activities in line with the university’s quality processes.
* Working cooperatively and collaboratively with other colleagues to support academic programme delivery.
* Making appropriate use of technology to support learning and teaching, (e.g. Moodle VLE).
* Monitor student attendance and engagement in accordance with student visa requirements (training will be provided).
If appointed as a Visiting Lecturer, teaching will be allocated on an hourly basis. We will make every effort to schedule teaching with sufficient notice to allow Visiting Lecturer Consultants to work around other commitments. The number of hours available will be subject to course requirements. The hourly rate of pay for this role varies depending on the type of work completed. Please see Appendix One of the associated job description for more information. We welcome applications from individuals with industry experience.

* A Masters qualification in a relevant subject or equivalent business experience.
* An ability to support students both academically and pastorally.
* An excellent standard of spoken and written communication and academic writing, coupled with the ability to develop these skills in students.
* Ability to work both individually and as a member of a teaching team.
