Are you an experienced electrical professional with a passion for ensuring quality and compliance? Certsure is looking for Area Engineers across the UK to play a key role in supporting our electrotechnical schemes. As an Area Engineer, youll be responsible for assessing our registered contractors, helping them meet the highest industry standards, and building long-lasting relationships. Your expertise will be key in ensuring our customers remain compliant while you promote Certsures services and contribute to our ongoing success. What Youll Be Doing: Undertake a weekly programme of visits, to be centrally scheduled by a member of theadministration team. Conduct assessments of Certsure customers / contractors ensuring the necessary compliance to the competent person scheme rules. Undertake assessments of applicants for registration and conduct assessment visits in othergeographical areas, as requested. Make recommendations concerning approval, continued registration, deferment or rejectionand compile all documentation required by the appropriate procedures. Build relationships with Certsure customers whilst providing an excellent service to them. Respond to technical and related enquiries from registered contractors, local authorities andothers about the implementation of BS 7671 and related BS codes of practice. Assist in the training of newly appointed Area Engineers, as requested. Comply with the requirements of the Health and Safety Policy. Undertake any other duties as appropriate within their competence, as required by their linemanager. What Were Looking For: A strong technical background in electrical installations and detailed knowledge of BS 7671. Excellent communication and customer service skills with the ability to build effective working relationships. Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines. A full driving licence and a commitment to personal learning and professional growth. Desirable Skills: Membership with professional bodies such as IET or CIBSE. Engineering qualifications or experience as a vocational assessor.
