SEN Teacher Role
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate SEN Teacher to support students with special educational needs at a school in Exeter. As an SEN Teacher, you will play a crucial role in educating and supporting students, working closely with their families and other professionals.
About the Role
* Plan engaging lessons tailored to individual student needs
* Use various teaching strategies and resources to accommodate different learning styles
* Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback and support
* Collaborate with other teachers to develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
* Foster a supportive classroom environment promoting social, emotional, and academic development
Responsibilities
Maintain accurate records of student progress and participate in team meetings and parent conferences.
Requirements
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience in SEN settings
* Strong understanding of different types of special educational needs and strategies to support them
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Patience, empathy, and passion for working with students with SEN
* Ability to adapt teaching methods and resources to meet diverse student needs
Schedule
Day shift, Monday to Friday, no weekends.
