The Role
A Manager with a SAP Controls focus within the team would typically be responsible for driving growth of all of our SAP service lines as part of the wider ERP & Business systems team, developing new business from existing clients and new prospects, building deep and enduring relationships with blue chip organisations and establishing themselves as a subject matter expert in this type of assurance and consulting support.
Responsibilities
1. Managing sales activities such as responding to RFPs/ audit tenders, bid management, proposal writing and client presentations.
2. Leading and managing SAP security and controls engagements, including planning, execution, and reporting.
3. Evaluating the design and effectiveness of SAP controls throughout the business cycles.
4. Responsibility for the overall output from client engagements.
5. Overseeing the scoping, financial management, managing delivery risk, production and review of deliverables.
6. Building and managing excellent networks and client relationships (typically at CIO, CFO and Head of Internal Audit level) across a range of organisations.
7. Working collaboratively with multiple workstreams to design and implement Controls for SAP implementation programmes.
8. Developing internal networks and maintaining excellent relationships with colleagues across KPMG, promoting the ERP & Business Systems capability specifically for SAP and informing other KPMG services and capability groups of the value it could add to their engagements.
9. Be responsible for expanding SAP services in a specific IMG segments, e.g. B2C and B2B, whilst also being able to work across a range of other sectors.
10. Coaching and developing team members, both as SAP specialists, but also training wider Technology Risk Consulting team members to become skilled in certain areas (e.g. selling ERP analytics, integration into audit delivery etc.).
11. Leading product development and innovation in the use of SAP GRC, data and analytics technologies, to ensure that KPMG’s offering remains market leading on a global scale.
The Person
Experience and Background
1. Experience in SAP Security (for example Basis & Role design knowledge)
2. Experience in SAP business analysis and understanding of core financial business processes (procure to pay, record to report, order to cash etc within an SAP environment)
3. Experience of core ERP and / or business systems - including SAP, Oracle and others
4. Functional experience of SAP GRC, Financials and BPC.
5. Strong understanding of SAP applications, including ECC, S/4HANA, and other SAP modules.
6. Knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley readiness and controls optimisation.
7. A good understanding of technology platforms supporting the industry
8. Ability to present on specific industry subjects to a large group of people
9. An understanding of system risks and controls, to relate them to the wider business environment and to express opinions clearly to all levels
10. Ability to develop excellent client and internal relationships
11. Ability to deliver work within tight timescales, to budget and to a high quality
Successful candidates will display a combination of the following:
1. Proven experience in identifying and developing sales opportunities.

3. Excellent communication skills (both written and oral) and first rate interpersonal skills at all levels.
4. Ability to present on specific subjects to a large group of people (both internal and clients/ potential clients).
5. Ability to break down SAP technical data analysis into accessible business terms, which express clear opinions to all levels and are applied to the wider business environment.
6. Ability to develop excellent client and internal relationships.
7. Ability to deliver work within tight timescales, to budget and to a high quality.
8. Excellent team player, but also able to excel working on own initiative.
9. Ability to identify, understand and adopt new technologies and innovations, and assess and explain the value to KPMG of developing these within the SAP capability.
10. A strong understanding of Segregation of Duties risks and the relevant mitigating controls within SAP landscape.
11. Proven experience of successfully delivering technology-based consulting services, particularly related to SAP implementations.
This role requires SAP experience, delivering SAP process controls and assurance services. The successful candidate will be involved in client facing and client relationship building across a range of corporate clients.
