Home based - Wales with some travel out to assessors in the field on occasion
£33,500 to £35,000 with a salary uplift of £500 for Welsh language speakers. Monday to Friday, Full Time, Permanent.

The role of Performance Team Leader is to mentor a team of 20 assessors through the monitoring of their performance and wellbeing, alongside providing support to achieve their objectives. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable. Previous experience of assessment practice within the leadership and management arena is essential, as is a qualification in assessment practice.

Role Responsibilities
Your role will include:
1. Conducting regular probation and performance reviews with Assessors to monitor staff wellbeing, job satisfaction, and progress in their role and achievement against KPIs.
2. Completing monthly Caseload Management Review meetings with Assessors.
3. Managing all aspects of HR for Assessors.
4. Working in conjunction with Engagement Lead, Conformance Manager, and Lead IQA to improve performance metrics within the department to achieve contracts, including attainment, timely achievement, and the management of early leavers and suspensions.
5. Taking responsibility for the monitoring and completion of OEED learners.
6. Working with Engagement Lead and Lead IQA during the handover process of learners and helping to complete learners if necessary.
Characteristics of a Successful Candidate:
* Proven experience in a Performance Team Leader role or similar leadership position.
* Strong understanding of performance management and team dynamics.
* Ability to inspire and motivate team members towards achieving collective goals.
* Results-oriented with a knack for problem-solving.
* Commitment to fostering a positive and supportive workplace culture.
* Providing an excellent level of customer service to all learners, mentors, employers, and other relevant stakeholders, ensuring work practices and performance conform to Welsh Government, Lead Provider, Awarding Organisation, and company specifications.
* Embracing Continuous Professional Development to develop knowledge of full apprenticeship provision through research and involvement in learning and development opportunities.
* Supporting the activities of the Quality Assurance Team to ensure assessors are effectively meeting standards, progressing learners, and contributing to continuous improvement.
