Live-in Support Worker
Location: Peterborough, PE10
Pay Rate: £12.00 per hour, with additional pay for sleep-ins
Job Type: Permanent, weekly placement
Social Care & Education are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Supported Living Support Worker to provide essential care and assistance to individuals in their own home. This role is ideal for an experienced candidate skilled in supporting people with learning disabilities, autism, mental health, challenging behaviours, and those recovering from addictions.
Duties
· Assist clients with personal care
· Create a positive and supportive environment to help clients feel secure and valued.
· Prepare meals tailored to each client’s dietary needs and preferences.
· Safely administer medication as prescribed, adhering to individual care plans.
· Implement strategies to support clients with challenging behaviours, adapting your approach to suit each client’s specific needs.
· Maintain a clean, safe, and organised living space for clients.
· Accurately document all care provided and report any changes in clients’ conditions to healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care.
· Support service users in the community, participate in activities
· Support client with budgeting and finances
Supported Living Worker: The Requirements
To be considered for this role, the right candidate will need the following experience / training / qualifications:
· At least 6 months experience working as a Support Worker/Supported Living Worker.
· Good Communication and Listening Skills.
· Valid DBS.
