A North Liverpool Nursery School and Family Centre are seeking a qualified Level 3 practitioner in Early Years and Childcare with SEND experience. It is vital you have experience in child development to apply for this role. The Centre In the Centre for Nurture, the ratios are one adult to three or four children. There are approx 9-10 children in the room with three staff. The Hours The role is full time. The centre is open 48 weeks a year. Flexibility will be required in the role, for example to be part of early (8am) and late shifts (up to 5.15pm) as well as the main core day (8.30am to 4pm) Key Responsibilities: To provide support for children aged 2-5 in the Centre for Nurture and support children with special educational needs and disability as and when required. (ASD, ADHD, speech and language and communication difficulties- non-verbal) To provide support to the class teacher and work as part of a successful team of early years practitioners, delivering the highest quality of education with care. To contribute to the design and maintenance of a stimulating, safe and inclusive learning environment. To contribute and plan for the preparation, delivery and evaluation of high quality learning experiences that enhance children’s physical, intellectual, emotional, social and moral development. Qualifications and Training Relevant experience of working with children within the EYFS within a school setting and attained Grade 3 or equivalent in Early Years and Childcare. Relevant experience of working with children 2-5 years with special educational needs and disability in an early years setting; Skills: Ability to work effectively within a team environment, understanding classroom roles and responsibilities; Ability to build effective working relationships with all children and colleagues; Ability to promote a positive ethos and role model positive attributes; Excellent personal numeracy, literacy and IT skills and have effective written and communication skills; Ability to work with children with challenging behaviour.
