BCA is seeking a dedicated Credit Controller to join our Finance Shared Services Team on a 12-month Fixed-Term Contract. In this role, you will manage a large ledger and ensure that Customers adhere to BCA’s payment terms, contributing to the overall success of our collections function.
Key Responsibilities
Daily banking, to ensure payments are posted to the correct Customer account and allocated according to the remittance
Email and phone Customers regarding their overdue invoices, ensuring detailed notes are recorded on your Aged Debt Report
Hold regular meetings with Account Managers to review disputed invoices and agree a resolution/actions
Email statements monthly to all Customers
Produce and circulate a weekly Aged Debt and Dispute Report
Attend fortnightly calls with Head of Credit to provide Financial Controllers with an update on Cash Flow and Aged Debts
Run Credit Checks and set up new accounts where required
Ensure the Credit Control inbox remains up to date, responding to Customer emails within 48 hours
Attend regular Customer meetings as and when required
Key Skills
Proven experience in a Credit Control or similar finance role
Knowledge of Sales Ledger management
Strong communication and relationship building skills, with the ability to engage positively with customers
Good attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to strict deadlines whilst managing multiple priorities
Intermediate Excel knowledge
