We are seeking a driven, passionate and innovative Spanish and French teacher to join our superb Modern Foreign Languages faculty.
Applicants should be able to teach Spanish to KS5, as well as French to KS3.
JCoSS is a school that is committed to teaching our students brilliantly and developing teachers too. We encourage ECTs to apply for this role and have a long history of colleagues’ career development being a key focus.
The Languages Faculty teaches French and Spanish which are taught as spoken and written languages arising from vibrant living cultures. Currently all students study French and Ivrit in Year 7 and in Year 8 all students take French with either Spanish or Ivrit. Languages are a popular option for GCSE and we have very able cohorts at A level every year. We are also very proud that the vast majority of our A level students continue their study of languages at university.
The Faculty consists of 6 teachers plus two Foreign Language Assistants and the current model includes Heads of Department for each language. We are keen to hear from ECTs of any faith or none. No knowledge of Ivrit is required.
We offer ECTs employment for the last few weeks of the summer term to help you settle in to the school before the new Term, by mutual agreement.
