Senior Electrical & Performance Test Engineer

One of my key clients working in the EV/Marine sector is recruiting for a skilled and motivated Senior Electrical & Performance Engineer to join their team. This company has established itself as a global leader in the advancement of marine energy technologies. The company is seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineer to join their talented team. The successful candidate will have at least 5 years experience with High and Low voltage and can lead the design and development of electrical systems by harnessing the immense potential of marine renewable energy sources such as wave and tidal power.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage the operations of Electrical systems ensuring activities are carried out safely.
2. Develop and implement test strategies and plans for electrical systems and components.
3. Design, develop, and maintain test fixtures and equipment.
4. Conduct performance, functionality, and safety testing on electrical systems and components.
5. Analyse test data and collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and troubleshoot issues.
6. Drive continuous improvement in test methodologies and processes.
7. Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior engineers.
8. Project management of clients and development works.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
2. Minimum of 5 years of commercial experience in Electrical Engineering.
3. Proven experience in developing and executing test plans for electrical systems and components.
4. Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles and concepts.
5. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
6. Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
