By maintaining high standards for our school premises, we create an atmosphere where learning can thrive, behaviour improves, and students are empowered to reach their full potential' Our school offers character and challenge in equal measure - we are part 1960 original building and part 2002 new build Sections of a working week are spent ensuring we remain compliant, completing desk-based checks and paperwork, however the role also offers the opportunity to be hands on too, keeping the school both safe and well presented at all times. During the daytime, our Premises Team work hard to present the school in the best way possible. Of an evening and weekend, we host a considerable number of lettings, delivering a healthy revenue stream for the school. Although we do not have any immediate projects planned, we don't stand still. As a school we have a commitment to sustainability and recent initiatives include installation of solar panels and a whole school switch to LED lighting. About Our Team The Premises Manager role reports into our Business Manager and you will be directly responsible for a team of 3 Premises Assistants, as well as our Lettings Officer. As you would expect, our Premises Team are a close-knit bunch who constantly display a can-do mindset. They do not walk past problems and instead, as much as possible, get things sorted correctly and first time. You will also be welcomed into a wider Premises / Site Team who operate across Red Kite Learning Trust. Our Trust consists of 5 secondary schools across Harrogate and Leeds and our Premises Teams collaborate as a group when needed, as well as supporting each other individually to ensure we are delivering the very best for our customers. Have experience of supporting general trade tasks and skilled trade workers. Be proactive, solution focussed and have the care and attention to ensure our school is fully compliant Possess excellent organisational and communication skills, with the ability to lead a team effectively.
