Role Purpose: Are you a detail-oriented professional with a passion for organization and process optimization? We’re looking for a Configuration Control Assistant to join our dynamic team and help maintain the backbone of our operational efficiency. In this pivotal role, you’ll ensure seamless control of configuration documents, procedures, and data management systems, contributing directly to the success of projects across various departments. There is a significant opportunity with this role to plan, shape and support delivery on new business processes and systems as the company grows. Key Responsibilities: Ensure engineering documentation, design changes, and system configurations are accurately tracked, recorded, and maintained to meet industry standards and project requirements. Co-ordination and processing support for change requests and related change management activities Work with project teams to provide internal configuration status reports for as-built production systems Support general engineering data entry and data management for the engineering parts database Work with the engineering team to develop and evolve efficient configuration management processes and procedures Proof reading/error checking of data, descriptions and technical English Present/summarise data at review meetings Support for general technical data processing and management activities Skills & Experience Essential GCSE Grade 6 and above in Maths and English At least 3 A-levels at grade C or above (or an HNC/HND) in a relevant subject area. Demonstrable experience of working with data/documentation and an ability to spot mistakes A keen general interest in technology, engineering design and development Experience of working with spreadsheets and an ability to confidently manipulate data Experience of data entry A passion for developing efficient, but effective procedures Ability to analyse, summarise and report on data Desirable Previous experience of working in configuration control And understanding of configuration control tools, ERP and PDM systems.Specifically Epicor or Solid Works PDM.
