As a Sterile Services Coordinator at our Wessex Hospital, you’ll combine basic computer literacy with strong organisation skills. From processing used surgical instruments for dispatch to receiving sterile surgical equipment and supporting our friendly theatre team – you’ll make sure everything runs smoothly.
As a Sterile Services Coordinator, you will:
1. Move and handle trays and items of various weights and sizes.
2. Maintain accurate records and keep documentation up to date.
3. Dispose of contaminated waste in accordance with hospital policy.
4. Regularly check that our equipment is in good working order and all faults are reported.
5. Maintain a clean and tidy working environment.
6. Take action to rectify any problems and escalating issues where necessary.

Nuffield Health Wessex Hospital is a stunning 46 bedded private hospital in West Hampshire with specialisms in Orthopaedics, Ophthalmology, Urology, Women’s Health and Spinal surgery. The hospital also benefits from having onsite Radiology, Pathology, Pharmacy, Physiotherapy and Hydrotherapy so we can give our patients a complete package of care. There are 16 consulting rooms with speciality outpatient rooms, 46 private patient bedrooms with en-suite facilities, 24 hr resident doctor on site (RMO) and four operating theatres and one endoscopy suite.
