About the Role:
We're on the lookout for a capable Commissioning Manager to join a high-performing Capital Delivery team, leading and mentoring a diverse group of commissioning engineers across a variety of technically complex and forward-thinking projects within the water sector.
You’ll be at the heart of ensuring our assets are brought into service safely and efficiently, all while playing a pivotal role in improving environmental outcomes and contributing to cleaner rivers and better water for customers.

What You’ll Be Doing:
Leading and developing a team of Commissioning Engineers across a portfolio of capital projects
Collaborating with Design, Delivery, and Operational teams to ensure commissioning plans align with project objectives
Ensuring projects are adequately resourced, risks are mitigated, and commissioning is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards
Driving best practice across processes, documentation, and Health & Safety
Mentoring delivery partners and team members while promoting a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and innovation
Representing the commissioning team in stakeholder discussions and managing escalated issues to resolution
✅ What You’ll Need:
Extensive experience in commissioning of Waste and Water Treatment Plants & associated processes
Proven track record of successful project delivery and plant performance verification
Strong understanding of supply chain management, NEC contracts, and risk management
Ability to manage multiple projects and teams with a hands-on leadership style
Excellent communication, reporting, and stakeholder engagement skills
Electrically qualified with up-to-date regulations knowledge
HNC/HND, Degree, or equivalent experience in a relevant Engineering or Process discipline
Full UK driving license and relevant site safety accreditations (e.g. CSCS, IOSH)
