Location: 55 Diamond Road, Crumlin, Co. Antrim, United Kingdom, BT29 4QY Contract Offered: Full-time, Permanent, Onsite working. Working Hours / Shifts: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. What does this role involve? This role will be responsible forthe implementation and maintenance of the Randox Health and Safety Policy and subordinate policies and procedures. This is a varied role that will require you to develop a varied skillset including: Developing, implementing and maintaining company health and safety policies and strategies Advise on strategies for compliance with existing health and safety related legislation and prepare the company for any future changes in legislation Providing competent advice in relation to health, safety and welfare arrangements across the organisation Promoting and developing a safety culture across multiple Randox sites Oversee incident investigations, identify preventative measures, opportunities and ensure continual improvement across the company Carrying out risk assessments including CoSHH, noise and manual handling Complete compliance inspections and audits across the company and implement corrective actions Direct management of the current health and safety team Deliver health and safety training throughout the company, including induction training, fire training, H&S training for managers & supervisors and completion of H&S training records. Advise on the control of substances hazardous to health (CoSHH), storage of chemicals, registration, evaluation, authorisation and restriction of chemicals (REACH) and associated requirements Ensure the workplace satisfies health, safety and welfare requirements for temperature, lighting, sanitary, washing, rest facilities, etc Liaise with the Health and Safety Executive NI, NI Fire and Rescue Service, Insurance Companies etc, on health & safety matters and assist in any resulting remedial actions following audits. Who can apply? Essential criteria: NEBOSH general certificate In depth knowledge of health and safety regulations such as CoSHH, PUWER and CAR Strong communication and problem-solving skills Experience liaising with external bodies Bachelors degree or a minimum of 3 years experience in a health and safety role Desirable criteria: Previous experience managing a team Experience working in a large organisation, balancing multiple priorities Experience in developing a health surveillance programme NEBOSH diploma or equivalent level 6 qualification in health and safety ISO 45001 experience Experience in REACH compliance/ writing SDS Experience with HSA and HSE regulations Train the trainer qualification Experience in electronic health and safety management systems Experience delivering presentations How to apply?
