Role: Receptionist
Location: South Ribble Tennis & Fitness Centre
Contract: Part Time (16.75 hours per week) / Permanent
Salary: £25,704 - £26,113 (pro rata)
Closing Date: Friday 14 March 2025

If you do and you also believe that providing the best experience for all visitors to our facilities is paramount, then this interesting and varied role of Receptionist might be of interest to you.
We’re looking for a receptionist to support new and existing users of the centres including meeting and greeting, taking bookings and payments, answering phone calls and emails, providing membership support, with a focus on quality frontline service delivery.
The ideal candidate should have previous experience of working within the leisure industry or similar customer focused environment, practical experience of following health and safety procedures and policies, and a desire to continuously improve their professional development.
What you’ll be getting up to
* Continuously provide a high-quality service to all customers at the leisure centre in a polite and courteous manner, pro-actively providing information to promote the Centre to the public and responding positively to customer enquiries.
* Regularly be the first point of contact with the organisation, giving an excellent first impression, and be able to project a positive image of the organisation in the way service requests, enquiries and complaints are handled.
* Provide ongoing support to colleagues and users of the centres in various areas and roles, including meeting and greeting centre users, taking bookings and payments, answering phone calls and emails from centre users, and providing membership support, with a focus on frontline service delivery and better outcomes for customers.
Who we’re looking for
* Experience working in an administrative environment with a focus on great customer service.
* Good knowledge of health and safety procedures and policies.
* Previous experience working as a receptionist is desirable.

* Successful applicants will be subject to a DBS check (applied and paid for by the Council).
