de Vere Primary School is a 1 form entry primary school located in a charming village with an historic castle. As a close-knit community, we pride ourselves on our warm and welcoming environment, where every child is nurtured to reach their full potential.
We are seeking to appoint a calm and motivated Learning Support Assistant to join our friendly and passionate team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with our enthusiastic, friendly and well-behaved pupils who are eager to learn.
Initially this is for a one year fixed appointment, 14 hours per week, term time only.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide targeted support to pupils, especially those with special educational needs, both in small groups and on a one-to-one basis.
* Assist class teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
* Support the maintenance of a safe and positive learning environment.
* Collaborate with the SENCO and work closely with other professionals to ensure the best outcomes for pupils.
Requirements:
* Experience working with children, particularly those with special educational needs (preferred but not essential as training is available).
* Ability to stay calm under pressure and use your own initiative.
* Enthusiasm, resilience and a good sense of humour.
* Experience with younger children in particular EYFS desirable.
