Job Title: Service Engineer - Compressed Air
Location: Based out of clients Suffolk location
Starting Salary: Depending on Skills and Experience. Thereafter, reviewed periodically and dependant on company performance.
Bonus Scheme: Share of 1% compressor parts and pipefittings sold between engineers, paid quarterly in arrears after 6 months successful probationary period.
Discretionary Bonuses: From time to time, you may receive a discretionary company/team performance bonus depending on Company Performance. Company year end is 30th June each year.
Candidate Profile:
Our client is seeking a suitable candidate with mechanical engineering experience, from the likes of working in factories on maintenance or maintenance of farm equipment, vehicles etc. Someone who can take a machine apart, take an engine out or identify a motor fault. We really need a minimum of a level 2 qualification in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, ideally with some electrical diagnostic skills as well, which would be a real advantage.
Purpose of Job:
To provide on/off site service/repair/installation of Compressed Air Equipment.
Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Carry out planned maintenance on air compressors and compressed air systems.
2. Attend equipment breakdowns, diagnose faults, identify parts needed and complete repairs.
3. Complete relevant paperwork in detail, ensuring it is clear, accurate and legible. New I.T handheld devices being introduced soon.
4. Provide the highest standard of care for our existing and new customer bases.
5. A varied and interesting role including service, repairs and installations.
6. Monday to Friday with 8-5pm core hours, with out of hours call outs as may be required. Overtime payable.
Minimum Requirements:
1. Previous mechanical/pneumatic experience carrying out maintenance on vehicles, plant/farms and/or factory systems.
2. Ideally some knowledge of Air Compressor equipment.
3. Mechanical/Electrical experience and qualifications, minimum of a level 2 qualification in mechanical or Electrical engineering is required.
4. Full UK Driving Licence.
5. Able to use own initiative as well as working as part of a team.
6. Good communication skills.
7. Able to work alone, under pressure and as part of a team.
