The Role
Due to regional growth within Fortem Solutions, we are currently recruiting for a Repairs Supervisor to join our team covering our social housing contracts. We're looking for an experienced leader with exceptional people management skills and an excellent understanding of social housing. As a Repairs Supervisor, you will oversee a dedicated team of Tradespeople, ensuring that all work is completed efficiently and within tight deadlines.
The Company
Fortem Solutions are a nationwide business specialising in the Social Housing sector. We provide Repairs & Maintenance, Retrofit, Capital Works and Decarbonisation workstreams within Local Authorities and Housing Associations.
Duties & Responsibilities
Lead, support, and inspire a team of Tradespeople to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard, meeting deadlines and achieving first-time success. Collaborate with various departments and maintain strong relationships with clients at all levels to deliver exceptional service. Motivate, coach, and retain skilled Tradespeople, fostering a positive and productive work environment. Develop and implement a method for accurately assessing and categorising the competency levels of all team members. Oversee the Health & Safety performance of contractors, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. Manage the selection, recruitment, and ongoing performance of tradespeople, ensuring the team consistently meets company standards.
What You Will Need
Essential Criteria
Proven experience working within the social housing industry.
Trade leadership experience.
Strong people management skills, with the ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team.
Full UK Driving licence (Max 6 points).
Desirable Criteria
Understanding of Schedule of Rates (SOR) and their application in the industry.
