The Opportunity:

We are looking for an experienced and visionary leader to join our university as the Dean of Social Sciences and Technology. As the Dean, you will serve as the chief academic and administrative officer of the Faculty, responsible for providing strategic leadership and direction. This role involves being the primary advocate for students while overseeing all internal administrative matters and guiding academic and administrative initiatives within the Faculty.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide leadership and strategic direction for the Faculty of Social Sciences and Technology.
* Advocate for student needs and ensure high-quality academic programmes.
* Oversee internal administrative operations and lead academic initiatives.
* Present relevant matters to ensure informed decision-making.
* Build and maintain support networks for the academic team.
* Represent the Faculty on the Academic Board and Senior Management Team.
* Act as a key representative within the university and to external communities.
Reporting directly to the Provost, you will play a vital role in shaping the university's overall direction. As the Dean, you will also participate in key administrative committees, advocate for academic and professional staff interests, and align local objectives with university-wide goals. You will also have regular review meetings with the Provost and Faculty members to ensure excellence in leadership and strategic impact at Arden University.
About You:
* Significant experience in an academic leadership role(s).
* Comprehensive understanding of current trends and policies in Social Sciences and Technology.
* Strategic and innovative leadership experience, with evidence of progressive career growth.
* Demonstrable accomplishments in education, professional practice, and knowledge exchange.
* Proven experience with the innovative use of technology in a higher education environment to improve educational outcomes.
