Job Purpose:
To analyse, build, configure, test, deploy, and support fit-for-purpose changes to the business’ case management system, to specified requirements, deadlines and budgets.
DIMENSIONS:
Work within a team of permanent and third-party Case Management System Developers and Analyst Programmers within the IT Development team. Collaborate with other teams including IT Operations, Corporate Projects, MI, Operations, Client Relationship Management and third party clients and suppliers.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop skills and knowledge of the case management system from both an operational and technical perspective, learn its capabilities and constraints, how the various clients and products are configured upon it, and how it is developed to meet business needs.
2. Assist in systems analysis work to help assess gaps in functionality and determine the most appropriate solution for given requirements.
3. Produce systems design documentation where necessary.
4. Develop, configure and unit test system elements to meet functional requirements.
5. Assist in the planning and execution of technical tests (system testing, integration testing, stress/volume testing, regression testing, etc.), recording all identified faults, ensuring the timely delivery of fixes and explanations and completing all necessary retesting.
6. Support User Acceptance Testing, recording all reported faults and ensuring the timely delivery of fixes and explanations.
7. Plan and coordinate deployment activities.
8. Work with the IT Operations team to help investigate and resolve application software incidents, and support the production of Root Cause Analysis (RCA) documentation where needed.
SCOPE OF THE ROLE:
1. The role is highly dynamic with frequent changes in priorities.
2. Flexibility with working hours is essential, as some changes may require work outside of normal office hours.
3. Training on the system will be provided.

5. Good communication skills, both written and verbal and able to communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences.
Technical Skills & Qualifications:
Essential:
1. Experienced in the use of case management systems.
Desirable:
1. Experience in using Visual Studio, VB.NET / C#.NET, MS Access and Excel VBA, SQL Server and Visio.
2. An understanding of financial services sector.
