Job Responsibilities:
* Driving a straight truck based out of Putnam. All local driving.
* Pickup and delivery of company trucks/trailers (straight truck will be required to use a pallet jack and liftgate potentially on a daily basis).
* Load and unload trailer contents in a safe manner, following required procedures.
* Daily coordination with Dispatch Department.
* Complete daily truck inspections.
* Report all vehicle or trailer damage as immediately as possible.
* Follow safe driving techniques, participate and contribute to company safety programs.
* Adhere to all laws, Federal, Regional and jurisdictional as outlined in the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Standards.
* Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or terminal manager.
Education/Experience:
* Must have 2 solid years of driving experience.
* Must possess a Class DZ license.
* Have a clean CVOR and Driver abstract.
* Must be bondable.
* Monday to Friday day shift, 8 to 12 hours.
