The Specialist Perinatal Service consists of community and inpatient services. The services are collocated and provide mental health care to women and birthing persons, birthing partners, infants, and the wider family system. The SP-CMHT supports Swansea Bay UHB and Uned Gobaith provides an All-Wales service.
The Specialist Perinatal Service is multi-disciplinary. As a specialist service, we provide interventions through a trauma-informed perspective on complex cases with individuals dealing with moderate to severe mental health challenges.
We are wanting to recruit an enthusiastic, dynamic, highly-motivated individual to the following role: 0.6 WTE Band 7/8a (Preceptorship Pathway available) practitioner psychologist to work across the service.
We invite applications from a Clinical or Counselling Psychology background and we also invite those in their final year of a Doctorate in Clinical or Counselling Psychology Training.
The individual will need to demonstrate excellent clinical and leadership skills and have relevant knowledge and experience to enable them to further develop and sustain a high quality, compassionate, and person-centred psychology provision within the Specialist Perinatal Service.
The service actively participates in training, research, and service development, and the individual will be actively encouraged to support these areas. The successful individual will also be able to access EMDR and VIG accredited supervision within the service.
