Small Oaks is a small nursery setting in a beautiful rural village. We provide our children with a family experience in a home from home environment.
Our passion is to provide our children with the opportunities and experiences to learn about the world around them in a hands-on way. With small numbers, we are able to go out regularly in our nursery mini bus, to music groups, soft play centres, garden centres, farms, and many more wonderful places!
We have a large focus on outdoor learning and regularly sing our way to the local woods or pond and venture out to local areas in the countryside.
If you think you are the person to join us on our adventures, then this may be just the job for you.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join us on a part-time basis to cover maternity leave. Are you creative, energetic, and do you have a passion for the Early Years? If so, you could be just who we are looking for.

1. Work closely with two other staff members in our 2-4 year old's room.
2. Develop relationships with parents/carers and communicate with them on a daily basis.
3. Work as a key worker for a designated group of children.
4. Assist the team in providing high-quality childcare, by providing inspiration to children through exciting activities in all areas of learning.
5. Ability to complete children’s daily diaries, track and assess their development, and plan activities for their individual needs.
Qualifications and skills:
1. NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) or above.
2. A love of the outdoors.
3. Good teamwork and interpersonal skills.
4. A good understanding of children’s development and the EYFS curriculum.
