About the Business: Our client are a growing, UK & International, market-leading manufacturer requiring a Technical Sales Estimator. They are an established fabrication / sheet metal company that manufactures a broad range of products and offers a complete service, from design through to completion. They specialise in all aspects of welding and fabrications from one-off prototypes to batch production. The materials they work with are mild steel, stainless steel, aluminium, titanium, copper and brass. The workforce is highly skilled and they work to the highest standards. About The Offer: Free on-site parking 25 days holiday plus bank/public holidays. After 12 months holiday allowance will increase to 30 days plus bank/public holidays. Bonus scheme available Salary: up to £41k Responsibilities: Preparing cost budgets and estimates for new contracts. Maintaining and improving current customer contracts and relationships, whilst also developing new ones. Adhering to company standards and guidelines when analysing and providing estimations; focus on maximising profit and customer satisfaction, while minimising any potential risks to the company. Working closely with management to help with development, innovation, and creativity on client projects. Keeping detailed records of all estimation documentation, including site assessments and contract terms; update any existing contracts immediately upon agreement of new terms with clients. Preparing and submitting financial documents when required. Balancing multiple proposals and estimations at once, ensuring each reaches the client by the deadline. Liaising with other company departments to maintain business development and continuously innovate new profitable outcomes. This will include being part of production meetings when required. Attending weekly sales meetings with the sales manager to set achievable targets and goals. Visiting customers when required to generate new business and keep relationships between parties. Skills & Experience: Great understanding of engineering and fabrication with the ability to read and work to complex engineering drawings Experience in sales and estimating in a subcontract manufacturing environment is a must, mainly in the following areas: laser cutting, folding, welding & fabrication Excellent numeracy and literacy skills are required, along with being competent on basic PC packages and programs Ability to work in a team A keen eye for detail Strong Customer-Facing Skills Sales, Customer Service Self-Management Initiative Ability to Manage Workloads Timely Self-Motivating Excellent Verbal and Written Communication skills Problem Solving Strong Math Skills Networking Valid Driver's License Ability to Visit Client Sites Experience with an MRP/ERP system will be advantageous This is an excellent opportunity to join a progressive business who invests in people.
