£26k - £27k DOE (+ uncapped commission)
Fulltime
I am working with a well-established and award-winning recruitment agency based in Sheffield, who have a number of additional offices across the UK.
They are honest, values and service-driven, and invested in the development of their people. They have a great reputation that precedes them because of this.
They all work hard, including management and directors, who are very hands-on and want to see nothing more than their teams succeed, fulfill their individual goals and aspirations, and ultimately get to where they want to be professionally.
Role:
Within this Trainee Recruitment Consultant position, you will be joining an existing team of 12 within a niche industry.
You must be confident in communicating with people at all levels to win new business, and additionally have strong questioning and listening skills to gain a full understanding of the needs of all parties, ultimately to ensure consistent success.
You will be expected to meet with clients across the region, so it’s essential that you are a driver with your own vehicle.
Responsibilities:
1. Proactively source new business opportunities and generate leads through cold calls, email outreach, social media, and face-to-face site visits.
2. Work towards weekly, monthly, and quarterly KPIs (they are very volume-led but you are supported throughout by your manager and the Directors).
3. Thoroughly interview potential candidates to ensure they fit each job specification and the company's needs.
4. Attract and place candidates into appropriate vacancies, offering advice and coaching from application to start date and beyond to ensure successful, lasting placements.
5. Ensure all activity is accurately logged on the CRM system.
6. Negotiate fees and terms with clients as well as negotiating salaries with clients and candidates at offer stage.
7. Provide exceptional customer service and be an advocate for the business.
8. Collaborate with the wider team.
9. Take a proactive approach to learning and improving.

In addition to the above, you will have:

2. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills; if you don’t love talking to and meeting new people, then it might not be the right career path for you.
3. Resilience and motivation to keep going and remain positive, even on the days where it might feel like everything’s not going the way you planned!
4. A drive to progress and succeed; our client loves to support their employees’ development and will actively aim to help you get to where you want to be!
